On the night of November 24, the jackup rig Valaris 120 was struck by an unnamed supply vessel in the North Sea some 150 miles east of Aberdeen, Scotland. Reports state the supply vessel struck one of the legs of the rig. No details on the extent of damage to the supply vessel or to the rig. Reports do state that 52 personnel were evacuated off the rig. Three flights evacuated the non-essential personnel. No reports of injuries. No further details reported.
On the early evening of November 23, the 75 meter long self-propelled barge Martyna (MMSI: 261182696) collided head on with the 85 meter long self-propelled barge Stadt Lindenfels (MMSI: 261183460) on the Wesel-Datteln Canal near Hünxe, Germany. The Martyna sustained bow hull damage below the waterline and suffered water ingress. To avoid sinking, the Martyna was run aground along the bank of the canal. The Hünxe fire brigade was called out and was able to control the flooding on the Martyna. The Stadt Lindenfels sustained less damage with just a meter long crack in the hull. No reports of injuries.

Both vessels remained moored at Hünxe. The water police has launched an investigation into the incident.

Initial reports stated the collision was with the self-propelled barge Stadt Lindenfels. Later reports state this was incorrect and the collision was by a unnamed self-propelled tanker-barge.
On the evening of November 23, the 14 meter long, 19 gt towboat Shoei Maru collided with the 230 meter long, 81,043 dwt bulk carrier Yiannis N. G. (IMO: 9701308) in Osaka Bay near Kobe, Japan. Reports state the Yiannis N. G. had struck the Shoei Maru causing the towboat to capsize. The Japan Coast Guard and the local fire department launched a search and rescue operation looking for the three crew of the Shoei Maru. One of the crew was found conscious in the water. He would be rescued and later taken to hospital. Reports state another of the crew was found trapped in the overturned vessel. A search for the missing crew person is still ongoing.
Reports state there was no report of injuries to the 21 crew of the Yiannis N. G. and there was no damage to the bulk carrier. Authorities state they have launched an investigation into the incident.
