On October 2, the 166 meter long, 155334 dwt container ship Victoria Trader collided with an 1435 dwt chemical tanker near Ulsan, South Korea. The two vessels had bumped resulting in minor dents on the starboard side of the tanker and port side of the boxship. No reports of injuries or pollution released.  Korean authorities dispatched investigators to the vessels. Reports state alcohol was not a factor in the collision.  Both vessels proceeded to Ulsan for further investigation into the incident.  The name of the tanker was not disclosed in the news reports.

The 274 meter long, 61468 dwt container ship MSC Sandra allided with the quay at Bremerhaven, Germany. The vessel was departing from the port when the port stern struck the quay sustained hull damage above the waterline. No reports of injuries or pollution released. Reports state that poor visibility may have contributed to the incident.

The 177 meter long, 24700 dwt container ship Delphis Bothnia allided with the lock wall on the Kiel Canal at Kiel-Holtenau, Germany. The Delphis Bothnia was headed to Gdynia from Rotterdam when the boxship’s port bow struck the lock wall. The vessel sustained minor scratches and dents above the waterline. The lock also sustained some damage. No reports of injuries.

Authorities detained the vessel for a short period while they conducted an investigation into the incident. Reports state the Delphis Bothnia proceeded on its voyage a few hours later. No reports of pollution released.
