Rubiships IV Aground

Rubiships IV Aground

The 85-meter long self-propelled barge Rubiships IV went aground on the Danube River near Niederalteich, Germany.   The master of the Rubiships IV steered the vessel too early causing it to become stuck at an angle on the river nearly blocking all traffic.   The river was at a low water stage which contributed to the accident.   No reports of injuries or pollution being released.
