The 220 meter long, 75123 dwt bulk carrier Rapallo went aground off Anholt Island, Denmark. The Rapallo was proceeding with a cargo of coal from Ventspils, Latvia to Algeciras, Spain when it went aground.  The vessel was unable to refloat itself under its own power.  Anti-pollution vessels were dispatched to the scene to monitor the situation.  No reports of injuries.  Reports state the vessel was proceeding without a pilot which was discouraged by Danish authorities.

Autoprestige

The 129 meter long ro-ro cargo ship Autoprestige suffered a fire off Øresund, Denmark.  The fire broke out in the vessel’s smokestack while it was headed to Zeebrugge from Gdynia.  The crew quickly extinguished the blaze.  The vessel changed course to Hanstholm where it proceeded under its own power.  No reports of injuries.

AGERSOE_III

The 38 meter long ro-ro ferry Agersø III allided with the landing at Stigsnæs, Denmark.  The impact cause eight passengers to fall with two injured.  The ferry suffered on minor damage with only dents and scratches.  No reports of pollution being released. Reports state the ferry had one of its bow thruster fail while approaching the quay. The Agersø III typically runs a route between Stigsnæs and Agersø.
