The 25 meter long dredger Jette Saj capsized and sank off the Odense Steel Shipyard near Lindø, Denmark.   The dredger was offloading sludge when it lost stability and capsized.  The master of the vessel easily escaped, but the excavator operator became trapped.   He was forced to break a window and swim to the surface.   No reports of injuries.   The Jette Saj was refloated the next day by the floating crane Samson.

Vestvind

The 81 meter long, 2325 dwt freighter Vestvind went aground in the Svendborg Sound near Svendborg, Denmark.  The  vessel was able to be refloated with the aid of a tug during the high tide later the same day.   No reports of injuries, damage or pollution released.  The Vestvind was en route to Svendborg from Mariager.

Key Fighter

Key Fighter

The 94 meter long, 4999 dwt tanker Key Fighter allided with the quay at Fynsværket, Denmark.  The tanker was headed to Odense when it crashed into the dock.   No reports of injuries or any pollution released.  The Key Fighter was able to continue on to Odense.  Authorities were notified of the incident.   Reports state a pilot was on board at the time of  allision.
