Symphony

The 99 meter long, 3208 dwt freighter Symphony loaded with a cargo of timber went aground off  Marstal, Denmark.   The vessel had a pilot on board when it struck a sandbar.   The vessel was able to free itself later the same day.   The Symphony contacted authorities who allowed the freighter to proceed to the port of Soby where the hull will be inspected by divers.   No reports of injuries, damage or pollution being released.

The 76 meter long, 250 dwt high speed ro-ro ferry Mie Mols allided with the ferry pier Ebeltoft, Denmark.  The pier was severely damage preventing any passengers or vehicles from departing.  The Mie Mols continued on to Aarhus, Denmark where passengers and vehicles were unloaded.  The Mie Mols was undamaged.   No reports of injuries or pollution being released.
