Globia

The 66 meter long, 1622 dwt freighter Globia allided with the bridge between islands of Lolland and Falster, Denmark.   Neither the bridge or the vessel sustained major damage.   The Globia proceeded to Nykøbing until repairs can be made.   No reports of injuries or pollution being released.   The Globia was en route to Nykøbing from Aarhus.   The cause of the allision is being investigated by authorities.

Prins Joachim

The 152 meter long, 5345 dwt ro-ro ferry Prins Joachim allied with the pier at Gedser, Denmark.   The ferry was leaving the pier in bad weather when strong winds gusts pushed the vessel against the quay.   The Prins Joachim returned to the quay to be inspected.  No reports of injuries, damage or pollution being released.  The ferry was able to depart later the same day for Rostock.

Odin Sydfyen

The 70 meter long, 450 dwt  ro-ro ferry Odin Sydfyen went aground near the harbour entrance to Tars, Denmark.   The ferry was heading into port in bad weather when strong wind gusts drove the vessel onto a sandbar.   The Odin Sydfyen  was able to refloat itself and proceeded into port under its own power.   No reports of injuries to either passengers or crew.   The ferry is to be inspected by divers before going back into service.
