On November 16, the 132 meter long, 9556 dwt container ship Nuka Arctica caught fire near Aalborg, Denmark. The Nuka Arctica was headed to Nuuk, Greenland when a fire started in the engine room.  The fire was quickly contained and extinguished by the crew, but the Nuka Arctica sustained damaged. The boxship redirected to Frederikshavn for repairs. Reports state the Nuka Arctica is proceeding under its own power, but at a reduced speed. No reports of injuries or pollution released.

On June 24, the 14 meter long fishing vessel Nicoline HG 75 caught fire off Hirtshals, Denmark. The crew were fishing for plaits when smoke billowed out of the engine room. The two crew on board quickly responded to the situation and douse the blaze with powder. The fire damaged the engine disabling the Nicoline. The crew requested assistance with a lifeboat from Skagen responding. The lifeboat towed the Nicoline back to Skagen. No reports of injuries.

The 20 meter long fishing vessel Biscayen L353 became disabled off Thyborøn, Jutland, Denmark. The Biscayen had suffered engine failure and requested assistance. The SAR lifeboat responded and towed to the fishing vessel back to port. No reports of injuries, damage or pollution released.
