On March 23, the 38 foot long fishing vessel More Misery became disabled near Block Island off Newport, Rhode Island. The vessel had suffered water ingress  and the two crew requested assistance. The Coast Guard dispatched a helicopter and two 45-foot response boats to the scene.  The response boat arrived on scene and safely transferred the crew aboard. The Coast Guard placed dewatering pumps on to the More Misery and safely towed the fishing vessel to Newport. No reports of injuries, damage or pollution released.

On March 11, the 75 foot long fishing vessel Hunter became disabled off Nantucket, Massachusetts. The Hunter had gone adrift after suffering a power blackout when the main engine failed. The Hunter sent out a distress call that the vessel was adrift.  The Coast Guard dispatched the Cutter Tybee which arrived on scene.  The Tybee took the Hunter under tow and proceeded slowly back to port.  The Tybee passed the tow to another vessel the following day. No reports of injuries, damage or pollution released.

The 16 meter long fishing vessel Pierre de Jade became disabled off Cape Anifer, France.  The trawler had gone adrift after its propeller was fouled by a net. The vessel requested assistance with the French naval vessel Cassiopée responding.  The Cassiopée sent several divers to clear the net away from the propeller and shaft.  After the work completed, the Pierre de Jade restored propulsion and proceeded to Port-en-Bessin.  No reports of injuries, damage or pollution released.
