The 26 meter long fishing vessel Bara An Aod became disabled off  Wicklow Head, Ireland.  The Bara An Aod was enroute to Ireland from France in bad weather when it suffered engine failure.  The crew contacted the Wicklow RNLI who dispatched its all-weather lifeboat to the sceene.  The RNLI lifeboat was able to take the fishing vessel under tow and safely returned to Wicklow Harbour.   No reports of injuries to the 4 crew, damage or pollution released.

The 225 meter long, 74382 dwt bulk freighter Yong Tong became disabled near Isla de Tarifa and Gibraltar.  The Yong Tong had suffered engine failure and gone adrift.   The crew requested assistance with a salvage tug responding.  The tug was able to take the bulk freighter under tow and proceeded to Algeciras.   The Yong Tong was en route to New Orleans from Gibraltar in ballast.   No reports of injuries, damage or pollution released.
