On July 17, the 16 meter long, 242 gt fishing vessel Emma Louise – TO60 (IMO: 8664151) sprung a leak in the Celtic Sea off Pendeen, Cornwall, England. The Emma Louise requested assistance with the RNLI lifeboat from Sennen Cove responding. The 16 meter long RNLI lifeboat City of London III (MMSI: 235050719) arrived with the Emma Louise bringing dewatering pumps. After three dewatering pumps were onboard the fishing vessel, the lifeboat escorted the Emma Louise back to Newlyn.  When the vessels reached Land’s End, the 17 meter long RNLI lifeboat from Penlee, the Ivan Ellen (MMSI: 235005122), took over the escorting duty. The vessels arrived in Newlyn harbour safely.  No reports of injuries, damage or pollution released.

On the evening of  July 14, the 108 meter long, 7601 dwt cargo vessel Spanaco Progress (IMOI: 9306433) became disabled while traversing the Dardanelles off Gallipoli, Turkey. The Spanaco Progress had suffered engine failure and went adrift.  Authorities were alerted and dispatched the KEGM tugs Kurtarma 3 (IMO: 9335939) and Kurtarma 19 (IMO: 9995129) to assist. The tugs were able to connect a towline and the vessels proceeded to Şevketiye where the vessel dropped anchor.  No reports of injuries, damage or pollution released.

On July 7, the 190 meter long, 55869 dwt bulk carrier Aya Evolution (IMO: 9700354) went adrift on the Adriatic Sea at Split, Croatia. The Aya Evolution had broken free of its mooring lines during a severe storm. The bulk carrier drifted away from its berth into the harbour. Fortunately, a tugboat was able to keep the Aya Evolution from striking the pier or any other vessel.  The tug assisted the bulk carrier back to its berth. No reports of injuries, damage or pollution released.
