On the morning of September 11, a 23-meter tugboat (name not disclosed) became disabled in the Sea of Marmara off Yeşilköy, Turkey. Authorities were alerted the tugboat was adrift off the coast.  The KEGM dispatched the 36 meter long tugboat Kurtarma 3 (IMO: 9335939) to the scene.  The Kurtarma 3 took the tugboat   taken under tow and proceeded safely to the Avcılar İDO Pier. There were no reports of injuries to the 2 crew, damage or pollution released.

On September 11, the 33 meter long, 332 gt fishing vessel Artur e Teresa (IMO: 9010187) became disabled at the mouth of the Ría de Vigo estuary near Vigo, Spain.  The Artur e Teresa had gone adrift after suffering mechanical problems. Authorities were alerted with Salvamento Maritimó dispatching the 6 meter long search and rescue vessel María Pita (MMSI: 982240012) to assist.  The Maria Pita was able to connect a towline to Artur e Teresa and proceed to Vigo.  No reports of injuries, damage or pollution released.

On the afternoon of September 8, the 133 meter long, 9000 dwt cargo vessel Eco Triumph (IMO: 9938717) became disabled on the Kiel Canal near Dükerswisch, Germany. The Eco Triumph was bound to Świnoujście from Cape Town with a cargo of turbine blades when it suffered engine failure. Authorities dispatched tugs to tow the cargo vessel back to Brunsbüttel. Reports state the vessel will be allowed to proceed to Kiel only if accompanied by a tug, but the vessel was last reported still at Brunsbüttel on September 10. No reports of injuries, damage or pollution released.
