Molat

The 172 meter long, 28355 dwt bulk freighter Molat became disabled on the North Sea near Seaburn, England.  The Molat departed from Norrkopping, Sweden with a cargo of timber bound for Alexandria, Egypt when it began to develop a list when its cargo shifted.   The vessel changed course and proceeded to the safety off Seaburn, England.   No reports of injuries, damage or pollution released.   A surveyor was dispatched to the vessel to inspect the vessel for damage.   The Molat  proceed to Sunderland where it will correct the cargo shift.  Reports suggest the cause of the cargo shift was that the Molat had hit some ice in the North Sea.

Sardinia

Sardinia

The 100 meter long, 4433 dwt freighter Sardinia became disabled near Immingham, England.  The vessel had suffered engine failure shortly after leaving port.   The crew requested assistance with a tug dispatched to the scene.   The Sardinia was taken under tow and proceeded to Hull.  No reports of injuries, damage or pollution released.

Island Panther

Island Panther

The 17 meter long workboat Island Panther allided with a tower at an off shore windfarm near Sheringham, England.   All five crewmen on board were injured in the collision with one man requiring medical assistance.  The vessel contacted the RNLI who dispatched lifeboats to the scene.  The first lifeboat to arrived administered first aid while the second brought a doctor to the Island Panther.   The lifeboats escorted the Island Panther back to Wells where ambulances took the injured crew to hospital.
