The 3500 dwt boxship Pacific Dawn became disabled off Hull, England.   The vessel had a stuck valve which remained open allowing water to ingress into the ship.   The water ingress quickly flooded the engine room, but the crew was able to stop the flooding before the vessel sank.   No reports of injuries.   The Pacific Dawn was taken under tow to Ijmuiden where the vessel will be repaired.

Red Vixen

Red Vixen

The 10 meter long, 9 ton fishing vessel Red Vixen became disabled after engine failure while off Plymouth, England.   The fishing vessel requested assistance and the RNLI launched a lifeboat to the scene.  The Red Vixen was taken under tow and safely returned to Plymouth harbour.  No reports of injuries, damage or pollution being released.

Calypso Collision

Calypso Collision

The 20 meter long, 284 ton fishing vessel Calypso Z84 collided with a tanker while off the coast of England.   The fishing vessel suffered significant damage and flooding in the bow compartment.   The five crew on board were hauling in nets at the time of the incident and were unharmed in the collision.   The Calypso was able to proceed to Zeebrugge, Belgium safely.  No reports of injuries or pollution being released.
