The 60 meter long ro-ro ferry BJL I capsized while moored at the dock in Tanjung Priok, Jakarta, Indonesia.  The vessel suffered water ingress on the starboard side of the vessel causing the ferry to develop a 10 degree list.  The list increased, but the 85 passengers and crew were able to evacuate to the quay before the BJL I capsized over on her portside hull.  No reports of injuries.  Reports state some 44 vehicles were on board when the BJL I capsized and some diesel fuel released into the water.  Authorities placed an oil boom around the vessel to contain the pollution.  The cause of the water ingress is under investigation.

The 38 meter long ro-ro ferry Agersø III allided with the landing at Stigsnæs, Denmark.  The impact cause eight passengers to fall with two injured.  The ferry suffered on minor damage with only dents and scratches.  No reports of pollution being released. Reports state the ferry had one of its bow thruster fail while approaching the quay. The Agersø III typically runs a route between Stigsnæs and Agersø.

The 522 gt ro-ro passenger ferry KMP Munawar sank off Lombok Island, Indonesia.  The ferry departed the port of Kayangan, Lombok during the early morning with 50 upto 160 passengers and several trucks, minibuses and motorcycles bound for Poto Tano on Sumbawa Island.  A few hours later the vessel developed a list before it capsized and sank near Poto Tano.  Survivors reported that the vessel had spotted a  leak and passengers notified the crew before the vessel developed a list.   Passengers clung on to life vests before they were rescued.  Three passengers perished.  Conflicting reports state there may be additional missing persons.
