Afouled Ringbas

Afouled Ringbas

The 34 meter long fishing vessel Ringbas became disabled off Florø, Norway.  The Ringbas’s propeller had been entangled by fishing nets.   The crew contacted authorities who dispatched the lifeboat Kristian Gerhard Jebsen from Maloy to the scene.   The Ringbas was taken under tow and the two vessels attempted to head for Florø, but the strong winds caused them to alter course for Gunhildsvågen.   There a diver was able to clear the propeller and bow thruster of the nets.
