Fortitude
The fishing vessel Fortitude went aground near Lochinver, Scotland. The fishing vessel had struck rocks and suffered hull damage including water ingress. The vessel contacted the RNLI who dispatched a lifeboat to the scene. The RNLI lifeboat brought a pump to the vessel which was able to keep the flooding in check, but not lower the water level. A second pump was requested and delivered by a Coastguard helicopter. With both pumps in operation, the Fortitude was taken under tow by the lifeboat and proceeded to Lochinver harbour. Both vessels arrived safely at the harbour and the Fortitude was lifted from the water using the new boatlift. No reports of injuries or pollution released.
