The 69 meter long ferry Margrete Læsø allided with the pier at Frederikshavn, Denmark.  The ferry was approaching the pier when it lost control of one of its main engine.  The crew were unable to reduce the speed of the vessel resulting in the vessel striking the quay in order to stop the vessel.   One of the 150 passenger on board was injured and was taken to hospital.   Several vehicles on the top deck received several dents while the ferry suffered some damage to its bulbous bow. The vessel remained in service taking another set of passengers to Læsø from Frederikshavn.   The next day, the ferry returned to Frederikshavn to undergo repairs.
