On July 8, the inland passenger vessel Hein Mück (ENI: 4808130) caught fire on the Weser River near Bremerhaven, Germany. The Hein Mück was doing a cruise of the Kaiserhafen when a fire broke out in the engine room.  The three man crew on board was able to contain the blaze using an onboard fire extinguisher. No reports of injuries to the 36 passengers and 3 crew. The vessel proceeded to a nearby quay where passengers were safely brought ashore. Local fire brigade arrived on scene and extinguished the blaze. No further details reported.

On July 6, the 148 meter long, 18315 dwt bulk carrier Aroyat (IMO: 9151395) allided with the canal wall in the Kiel Canal at Brunsbüttel, Germany. The Aroyat was enroute to Beira from Kaliningrad when it struck the center canal wall on the north lock at Brunsbüttel. No reports of injuries or pollution released. Reports state the Aroyat was allowed to proceed an hour later under its own power.

On June 26, the 81 meter long, 2450 dwt cargo vessel Dolfijn allided with wooden pilings on a pier at the outer lock in Brunsbüttel, Germany. The Dolfijn was approaching the southern lock when strong currents pull the cargo vessel onto the pilings. The vessel sustained scratches to its paint while the pilings sustained minor damage. The Dolfijn was allowed to proceed on its journey. No reports of injuries or pollution released.
