On the early morning of February 13, the 14 meter long fishing vessel Havbris (MMSI: 257253620) ran aground in the Magerøy Sound near Honningsvåg, Norway. The fishing vessel found itself high and dry on the rocky coast with the outgoing tide.  Fortunately, the two crew on board the Havbris  would be rescued by the 115 meter long passenger ship Havila Polaris (IMO: 9946910) and the NSSR lifeboat Odin. Reports state the Odin would assist salvaging the Havbris  on the next rising tide.  No reports of injuries.

The 74 meter long cargo vessel Havris ran aground near Averøy, Norway. The vessel was headed to Åheim from Trondheim when it ran up onto the rocks. The Havris suffered slight water ingress, but the flooding was kept under under control with the vessel’s pumps. A lifeboat arrived on scene a short time later along with a tug.  A few hours later the tug pulled the Harvis free. No reports of injuries to the six crew. The Havbris proceeded to Kristiansund under its own power where it will under go surveys.
