Ismail Hashim
The trawler Ismail Hashim capsized in rough seas off Pulau Songsong, Kedah, Malaysia. The trawler loaded with seven tons of fish capsized when it was suddenly hit by a series of strong waves. The master of the vessel lost steering and ordered his crew to put life jackets on. All except one of the crew of twenty went to the bow of the vessel when it capsized. The lone crewman went to his cabin and drowned. The 19 men stayed together around two life buoys until another vessel passed by.
