On November 16, the 289 meter long, 172247 dwt bulk carrier Capt Nature (IMO: 9181118) became disabled in the Dardanelles Strait off Gallipoli, Turkey. The Capt Nature while en route to Port Said suffered engine failure and went adrift. Unable to restart the engine, the Capt Nature contacted authorities at Çanakkale. Authorities dispatched the tugs Kurtarma-3, Kurtarma-4 and Kurtarma-13 to take the bulk carrier under tow. The vessels proceeded to anchorage off Karanlık Liman.  No reports of injuries, damage or pollution released.

On November 11, the 141 meter long, 7023 dwt tanker Saturn I (IMO: 9655470) became disabled on the Sea of Marmara off Ahırkapı, Turkey. The Saturn I was proceeding in ballast bound for Russia when it suffered engine failure and went adrift. Authorities dispatched the tugboat Kurtarma 11 to assist the tanker. The tugboat took the Saturn I under tow to an anchorage off Küçükçekmece where the vessel will undergo repairs. No reports of injuries, damage or pollution released.

On October 31 the 104 meter long, 6647 dwt cargo vessel FG Sevil (IMO: 9548665) caught fire off Sedef Island in the Marmara Sea. The FG Sevil was en route to Bulgaria from Yalova when a fire broke out in the engine room. The vessel requested assistance with the KEGM rescue boat with multiple tugboats responding. The tugboats were able to help extinguish the blaze a few hours later. The tugs then proceeded to take disabled FG Sevil under tow to a nearby anchorage. Reports state the engine room sustained significant damage. No reports of injuries or pollution released.
