The 49 meter long ro-ro passenger ferry Noord Nederland caught fire while off the port of Terschelling, Netherlands. The fire started in the vessel’s engine room. The crew was alerted by the smoke and requested assistance. The KNRM and port authorities escorted the Noord Nederland into Terschelling where local fire brigade was able to bring the fire under control. No reports of injuries or pollution released. Reports state the fire caused minimal damage and the ferry was allowed to proceed later on its voyage to Harlingen.

The 27 meter long passenger ship Festijn ran aground near Breskens, Netherlands. The vessel had taken 26 passengers and 3 crew out on an excursion when it stranded during low tide. The crew requested assistance with the KNRM lifeboat responding. The lifeboat was able to safely evacuate 26 passengers and one crew to shore. The master and one crew remained on board to refloat the vessel on the high tide. No reports of injuries, damage or pollution released.

The 110 meter long self-propelled barge Attesa caught fire  while on the Outer Maas off Dordrecht, Netherlands. The fire started in the bow thruster compartment while the vessel was en route to Antwerp from Dordrecht.  The crew alerted authorities who dispatched a fire boat along with the KNRM lifeboat.  The lifeboat and fire boat crews were able to bring the fire under control. No reports of injuries to the three crew on the Attesa. The Attesa was assisted to Dordrecht by port authorities.
