Antje - WL 25

On February 26, the Antje WL 25 ran aground in the Wadden Sea off Lauwersoog, Netherlands. The KNRM was alerted and dispatched the lifeboat from Lauwersoog to the scene.  The lifeboat made an attempt to pull the trawler free, but strong winds and low tide kept the Antje hard aground.  Not until the following high tide the Antje was able to refloat itself and proceeded to Lauwersoog. No reports of injuries, damage or pollution released.

The 37 meter long fishing vessel Den Hoope – O 231 ran aground off Stellendam, Netherlands. The Den Hoope had departed from Le Havre when it stranded in shallow water.  The KNRM lifeboat was called to assist. The lifeboat was able to pull the Den Hoope into deeper water.  The Den Hoope was proceeded into the port of Stellendam.  No reports of injuries, damage or pollution released.

The 24 meter long passenger ship Lelie ran aground near Almere, Netherlands.  The KNRM was alerted with multiple lifeboats responding.  Three lifeboats arrived on scene along with the salvage boat Meander.  The Meander connected a towline to the Lelie, but had to  abandon their efforts as the salvage vessel due to flooding. The KNRM lifeboat was able to connect a towline and pulled the Lelie free. The vessels proceeded to Almere safely.  No reports of injuries to the 23 persons on board the Lelie and no pollution was released.
