The 174 meter long, 38,115 dwt LPG Carrier Waasmunster collided with the fishing vessel Gros LouLou off Le Havre, France. The Waasmunster, loaded with 18000 tons of butane, was struck by the Gros LouLou. The Waasmunster sustained hull damage below the waterline and suffered water ingress, but no reports of pollution released. The Gros LouLou sustained damage to its bow and sustained some water ingress. No reports of injuries. Reports state salvage team was able to patch the hull of the Wassmunster a few hours after the collision.

The 160 meter long, 17,004 dwt LPG tanker Navigator Europa caught fire while moored at the terminal in the Houston Ship Channel. The Navigator Europa was transferring ethylene when fire broke out in the compressor room. The crew requested assistance with the Coast Guard dispatching several fire fighting vessels to the scene. The firefighting efforts were able to contain the blaze within 90 minutes.  No reports of injuries or pollution released. Authorities stopped traffic on the ship channel for several additional hours until the vessel was inspected and the surrounding area for any toxic flumes.  The Coast Guard reopen the channel to traffic later the same day. No leaks were detected. The incident is under investigation.

The 98 meter long, 4828 dwt LPG tanker Gitta Gas became disabled on the Bosphorus Strait near Kandilli Point, Turkey. The tanker had suffered engine failure while en route to Temryuk, Russia and went adrift.  Tugs were dispatched to the scene and were able to tow the Gitta Gas to a nearby anchorage. The crew were able to make repairs and the tanker was able to continue on its voyage. No reports of injuries, damage or pollution released.
