The vessel’s propeller became fouled after striking an obstruction causing the vessel to veer into the lock gate. The gate and the vessel suffered damage in the allision. No reports of injuries or pollution being released. Reports state the damage was around 1000€.
The 110 meter long self-propelled barge Odeon went aground on the Main River near Thüngersheim, Germany. The vessel’s rudder had broken down while another vessel was passing causing the Odeon to run aground. Another vessel was able to attach a towline and take the Odeon to the Erlabrunn Lock for repairs. No reports of injuries or pollution being released.
