Tugs were dispatched and were able to stabilize the cruise ship. No reports of injuries, damage or pollution released. Reports state wind gusts reached up to 100 km per hour.
The 24 meter long passenger vessel Yarra Empress went aground on the Yarra River near Herring Island, Melbourne, Australia. The Yarra Empress was on a scheduled voyage with 32 passengers when it became stuck. A tug was called and the vessel was freed later that day. There were no injuries, damage or pollution released.
