The 100 meter long, 4711 dwt tanker Langeri became disabled after engine failure near Nakhodka, Russia. The vessel dropped anchor before a tug arrived on scene. The Langeri was towed to the Nakhodka Oil Terminal. No reports of injuries, damage or pollution released. The Langeri was en route from Yuzhno to Kurilsk in ballast.
The 102 meter long, 2244 dwt reefer fishing vessel Mekhanik Bryzgalin suffered a fire while moored at Nakhodka, Russia. The crew of 18 were able to safely escape to the dock while local firefighters were able to contain the fire and extinguish several hours later. The fire damaged the fish shop and 30 meters of casing and cables. No reports of injuries or pollution being released.
