The 35 meter long coastal tanker Corina caught fire while moored at Capelle upon IJssel, Netherlands. The fire started in the tanker’s engine room caused by an electrical short. The local marine fire brigade arrived on scene and extinguished the blaze. The engine room was later ventilated. Local authorities have launched an investigation into the incident.

The 27 meter long passenger ship Festijn ran aground near Breskens, Netherlands. The vessel had taken 26 passengers and 3 crew out on an excursion when it stranded during low tide. The crew requested assistance with the KNRM lifeboat responding. The lifeboat was able to safely evacuate 26 passengers and one crew to shore. The master and one crew remained on board to refloat the vessel on the high tide. No reports of injuries, damage or pollution released.

The 24 meter long fishing vessel Grietje Cornelia ran aground  just 50 meters off the shore along the coast of Egmond aan Zee, Netherlands. The trawler requested assistance with a KNRM lifeboat responding. Initially, the lifeboat was unable to refloat the Grietje Cornelia due to the low water levels, but later succeeded on the rising tide a few hours later. No reports of injuries to the three crew, damage or pollution released. The Grietje Cornelia later proceeded to Den Helder.
