The 50 meter long self-propelled barge Labor allided with lock gates at Nederweert, Netherlands. When authorities came to the aid  of the crew, they found the master of the Labor intoxicated.  No reports of injuries or pollution released. The lock gates were damaged, but repairs could be made and traffic resumed the following day.

The 105 meter long self-propelled barge Grindelwald allided with a bridge over the Nederrijn near Leeuwen, Netherlands.  The Grindelwald’s wheelhouse was completely smashed disabling the barge.  No reports of injuries or pollution released.  The barge Marla Duo Marla pulled alongside the disabled Grindelwald.  No further details reported.

The 24 meter long passenger ship Lelie ran aground near Almere, Netherlands.  The KNRM was alerted with multiple lifeboats responding.  Three lifeboats arrived on scene along with the salvage boat Meander.  The Meander connected a towline to the Lelie, but had to  abandon their efforts as the salvage vessel due to flooding. The KNRM lifeboat was able to connect a towline and pulled the Lelie free. The vessels proceeded to Almere safely.  No reports of injuries to the 23 persons on board the Lelie and no pollution was released.
