The 113 meter long, 6088 dwt cement carrier Cemstar ran aground off the southern end of Hugla Island, Norway. The Cemstar was headed to Kjøpsvik from Trondheim when the vessel made a navigational error and the vessel up onto the shore. No reports of injuries and no pollution released.  Divers were requested and inspected the hull. Finding the hull intact, two tugs were dispatched to assist in refloating the Cemstar on the rising tide.

The 35 meter long fishing vessel Ballstadøy became disabled off Sveggen in Averøy, Norway. The Ballstadøy had suffered a problem with its gearbox and went adrift. The crew requested assistance with the NSSR lifeboat responding. The lifeboat towed the Ballstadøy to Kristiansund later the same day. No reports of injuries, damage or pollution released.

The 36 meter long schooner Noorderlicht ran aground near Trygghamna, Svalbard and Jan Mayen, Norway. The Noorderlicht requested assistance with the authorities dispatching the government vessel Polarsyssel to the scene. The Polarsyssel arrived and pulled the Noorderlicht free. The Polarsyssel towed the Noorderlicht to a sheltered area near Trygghamna. No reports of injuries to the 23 persons on board, damage or pollution released.
