The 30 meter long tugboat FFS Achilles sank off Skjolnes near Farsund, Norway. The FFS Achilles had run aground and suffered uncontrolled water ingress. The crew alerted authorities who dispatched a lifeboat to the scene. Before the lifeboat arrived, the three crew abandoned ship and rescued.

The FFS Achilles continue to flood and later sank. Authorities monitored the area and stated there were no signs of a spill. No reports of injuries or pollution released. Reports state the owner has begun salvage plans to recover the tug.

On February 28, the 36 meter long fishing vessel Tunfisk became disabled in the Borgundfjord near Ålesund in Sunnmøre, Norway. The Tunfisk had its propeller fouled  and went adrift in the fjord. The crew requested assistance with a NSSR lifeboat responding.

Dagfinn Paust

The lifeboat Dagfinn Paust arrived on scene and took the Tunfisk under tow.  The two vessels proceeded to Andenes and arrived safely in port the following day. No reports of injuries, damage or pollution released.

On February 26, the 61 meter long, 945 dwt cargo vessel Bulk Viking became disabled disabled off Offersøy, Norway. The Bulk Viking was headed to Kobbvaagen from Narvik when it struck bottom off Offersøy. The cargo vessel sustained damage or lost its rudder.

Unable to steer, the crew sent out a distress call requesting assistance. Authorities dispatched two rescue boats to the scene. The rescue boats were able to assist the Bulk Viking and proceeded to Harstad. No reports of injuries, damage or pollution released.
