On June 1, the 35 meter long fishing vessel Lise Beate became disabled off Honningsvåg, Norway. The Lise Beate had become disabled after a net fouled the vessel’s propeller.  With the fishing vessel adrift, the crew requested assistance. The NSSR  responded and dispatched the rescue boat Odin to the scene. The Odin was able to tow the Lise Beate back to Honningsvåg a few hours later.  No reports of injuries, damage or pollution released. Reports state the net was later cleared and the Lise Beate proceeded under her own power to Gjesvær.

The 60 meter long fishing vessel Havborg ran aground in the Tromsøy Sound near Solstrand, Norway.  The Havborg had stranded on a sandbank on the receding tide. The trawler requested assistance with the NSSR lifeboat responding. The lifeboat failed to pull the lifeboat free during low tide and had to wait several hours until the rising tide allowed for another attempt. The following morning the Havborg was pulled free.  Divers inspected the hull and found no damage. No reports of injuries or pollution released.

The 19 meter long fishing vessel Myntevik ran aground near Stokkøya, Norway. The Myntevik had grounded on a steep slope and developed a heavy list to port.  The two crew alerted authorities who dispatched a rescue helicopter and a NSSR lifeboat to the scene. The two crew put on the survival suits and prepared to be evacuated. A helicopter arrived first, but the crew elected to wait for the lifeboat.

Later when the lifeboat arrived on scene, it was able to quickly pull the Myntevik free assisted by the rising tide. The trawler sustained some damage and required a tow back to Stokkøya. The lifeboat pulled the Myntevik back to port where divers inspected the fishing vessel. No reports of injuries and no pollution released.
