Disney Fantasy

The 340 meter long passenger ship Disney Fantasy suffered minor damage while sailing through rough seas in the Caribbean Sea.  The cruise ship had furniture and passengers tossed as the vessel past near Hurricane Sandy.  Reports state several restaurants on board had suffered damage, but no reports of injuries to the passenger and crew.  Passengers were requested to spend the time in their rooms while the vessel passed through the rough seas.

Aidacara

The 193 meter long, 3752 dwt passenger ship Aidacara allided with a pier near Hamburg, Germany.  The Aidacara suffered a dent in the hull near the stern of the vessel.   The Aidacara was taken under tow back to port to be inspected.   No reports of injuries or pollution released.

Sarfaq Ittuk

Sarfaq Ittuk

The 70 meter long, 163 dwt passenger ship Sarfaq Ittuk went aground in the harbour at Qarqurtoq, Greenland.  The vessel was attempting to leave the harbour when it was pushed off course by strong winds.  There were no injuries to the 86 passengers or 21 crew on board.   The Sarfaq Ittuk was able to refloat itself  the next day and proceeded back to its berth at Qarqurtoq.  Divers inspected the hull and found some minor damage.   The vessel proceeded to Nuuk where it would be repaired.  No reports of any pollution being released.
