Straitview
The 89 meter long tanker Straitview became disabled off Pointe Saint Mathieu, France.The tanker departed from Liverpoolwith 1300 tons of soybean oil when it suffered main engine failure in heavy seas off the french coastline. The crew requested assistance with the supply vessel Alcyon responding. The Alcyon took the Straitview under tow to Brest arriving the following day. No reports of injuries, damage or pollution released.
