The 147 meter long ro-ro cargo vessel Ocean Queen caught fire off Busan, South Korea. The Ocean Queen was en route to Vladivostok from Busan when fire erupted from the stern.  The master reported that the fire started in the cargo hold and required assistance. A Coast Guard vessel arrived on scene and assisted the crew extinguishing the blaze.  No reports of injuries or pollution released. Reports state the cargo was most likely vehicles which were damaged or destroyed in the fire.

The 142 meter long ro-ro cargo vessel Flandria Seaways ran aground off Vlaardingen, Netherlands.  The vessel was departing from Vlaardingen when it suffered a breakdown and drifted aground. Three tugs arrived and refloated the Flandria Seaways a few hours later. No reports of injuries, damage or pollution released. The cargo vessel continued on its journey to Felixstowe

On February 9, the 83 meter long ro-ro passenger ferry Tourist Ferry Boat Primo ran aground in the Tyrrhenian Sea on Ischia Island, Italy. The vessel had departed from Casamicciola with 8 fuel-trucks and drivers with 7 crew.  The ferry was blown ashore after suffering engine problems. A tug was dispatched and attempted to pull the ferry off the beach without success. The Tourist Ferry Boat Primo was released a few days later. No reports of injuries, damage or pollution released.
