The 200 meter long ro-ro car carrier Morning Capo collided with the 222 meter long container ship Stadt Rostock off Xiamen, China.  The Stadt Rostock sustained damage to its starboard section of the bow.  The Morning Capo’s hull was holed in the bow. No report of injuries or pollution released.  Both vessels proceeded to a nearby anchorage where authorities conduct an inspection and investigation.  The Morning Capo was en route to Singapore from Gunsan while the Stadt Rostock was headed to Shanghai from Xiamen.

The 54 meter long passenger ro-ro ferry Stallovarre allided with the dock at Gjermundshamn, Norway. The ferry was manoevering to berth at the dock when the bow struck the landing bridge. No reports of injuries or pollution released. The bow of the vessel was badly damage along with vehicles and the landing bridge.  The Stallovarre proceeded to Årsnes to land passengers.  The Stallovarre was taken out of service with a reserve ferry taking its place on its schedule run between Årsnes – Varaldsøy – Gjermundshamn.

The 205 meter long, 18250 dwt ro-ro cargo vessel Pulpca allided with the quay in Travemünde, Germany.  The ferry was arriving from Gdynia with 20 crew and one passenger when it steered to close to the starboard side and struck the quay along with the 186 meter long, 7000 dwt ro-ro passenger ferry Stena Flavia.  The Stena Flavia sustained light damage with a rail and lifeboat damaged.  The quay sustained significant damage to some equipment and buildings.  No reports of injuries.  The Lübeck water police detained both vessels while conducting an investigation into the incident. Reports state that visibility was limited due to fog at the time of the allision.
