The cargo vessel sustained hull damage in a ballast tank in the forepeak resulting in water ingress. No reports of injuries or pollution released.

The 119 meter long, 3853 dwt cargo vessel Sormovskiy 3057 ran aground on the St. Petersburg Sea Canal, Russia. The Sormovskiy 3057 departed from St. Petersburg for Gdynia with 2590 tons of steel when it struck bottom and went aground. A tug was dispatched and refloated the Sormovskiy 3057 a few hours later. The vessel returned to St. Petersburg to be inspected for damage. No reports of injuries or pollution released.

On August 6, the 19 meter long fishing vessel Providence II ran aground off the coast of Okhotsk, Russia. Reports state three tugs arrived on scene and made an unsuccessful attempt to refloat the trawler. No further details reported.
