Samarga

The 117 meter long, 7130 dwt container ship Samarga became disabled in the Sea of Japan off the Korean Peninsula.  The Samarga had suffered engine failure while en route to Vladivostok from Busan with a cargo of vehicles.   The Samarga went adrift, but was in no danger as conditions were moderate.   The crew requested assistance with a salvage tug departed from Vladivostok and would be on scene the next day.  No reports of injuries, damage or pollution released.

ST Wind

The 98 meter long, 4706 dwt freighter ST Wind became disabled in the Sea of Japan near Olga, Russia.   The ST Wind had suffered engine failure and gone adrift.   A tug was requested and took the ST Wind under tow.   No reports of injuries, damage or pollution released.   The ST Wind was en route to Vanino from Tokyo with a cargo of used vehicles.
