The 76 meter long, 2865 dwt supply vessel Atlantic Raven suffered a fire near St. John’s, Newfoundland.   The Atlantic Raven was headed to St. John’s from the Terra Nova floating storage vessel when it suffered a small fire.  A crewman was able to extinguish the blaze quickly.   No reports of injuries to the crew or 13 passengers, damage or pollution released.  The Atlantic Raven was able to proceed to St. John’s under its own power.

The support vessel went aground near San Jose Island, Texas.  The vessel had some 8,000 gallons of fuel on board at the time.   No reports of injuries to the 4 crew on board, no damage or pollution released.   The Coast Guard dispatched a rescue boat and helicopter to the scene.   Reports state the owners and authorities are coordinating salvage efforts.

Bourbon Tampen

Bourbon Tampen

The 89 meter long, 4345 dwt supply vessel Bourbon Tampen caught fire near Florø, Norway.  The supply vessel was berthed at a quay when a fire ignited in the engine room.   The engine room was quickly engulfed in smoke as the crew attempted to extinguish the fire using the CO2 system.  The local fire brigade arrived on scene as the crew contained the fire.   No reports of injuries to the 15 crew on board.   Damage was limited just to the engine room.   Authorities have launched an investigation into the incident.
