On September 8, the 171 meter long, 34,656 dwt tanker Anwaar Afriqya (IMO: 9275268) became disabled on the Dardanelles off Kepez, Turkey. The Anwaar Afriqya was enroute to Tuzia from Tripoli when it suffered engine failure and power blackout. Authorities dispatched the tug Kurtarma 4 which took the tanker under tow. The vessels proceeded to the anchorage off Çanakkale. No reports of injuries, damage or pollution released.

On September 5, the 141 meter long, 5600 dwt tanker Maia (IMO: 9417050) collided with the 112 meter long, 3332 dwt cargo vessel Phrygia (IMO: 8842583) on the Don River near Azov, Russia. The two vessels were passing on the river when they collided.  Both the Maia and Phrygia sustained some mechanical damage, but there were no injuries or pollution released. The two vessels will be inspected by authorities. An investigation has been launched into the circumstances of the incident.

On September 2, four vessels were driven aground by tropical storm Enteng in Manila Bay near Navotas City, Philippines.

Patriot III

The 50 meter long, 793 dwt bunkering tanker Patriot III (IMO: 8946183) went ashore near Barangay Bagumbayan North. Reports state the owners plan to pull the vessel free with a tugboat when conditions improve.

ASC Regine

The barge ASC Regine went ashore near Barangay Bagumbayan North. The barge struck a breakwater resulting in damage to the vessel and breakwater. The barge will be pulled free by the tug Cleofe when weather conditions improve.

EBC Maricel VI

The tanker EBC Maricel VI ran aground off Barangay San Roque, Navotas City.

TM 1900

The 53 meter long, 867 gt deck barge TM 1900 went ashore near Rosario. Owned by a Malayan salvage company, the barge will be refloated when conditions improve.

Tamban

The barge Tamban broke free and went adrift. Reports state a tug was able to attach a towline and towed the vessel to an anchorage
