On September 26, the 183 meter long, 47187 dwt tanker SCF Yenisei sustained damage near the mouth of the Ob River in the Gulf of Ob, Russia. The tanker had struck an unknown object sustaining damage to the forepeak and ballast tank resulting in water ingress. The SCF Yenisei proceeded to Sabietta for repairs.  Divers were able to make temporary repairs.  The tanker departed the following day and proceeded to Murmansk.  No reports of injuries and no pollution released. The SCF Yenisei was loaded with 27680 tons of crude oil.

The 132 meter long, 4190 dwt tanker Volgoneft 151 ran aground on the Svir River near the 954 kilometer mark.  The Volgoneft 151 was en route to Yaroslavl from St. Petersburg when it went out of the fairway.  No reports of injuries.  The Volgoneft 151 sustained damage to its ballast tanks.  The tanker was able to refloat itself and continue to a nearby anchorage awaiting further inspection.

The 141 meter long, 6619 dwt tanker Sig ran aground on the Don River in the Konstantinovsky District,  Russia.  The Sig had run onto a shoal while en route to Astrakhan from Baku.  No reports of injuries to the 12 crew, damage or pollution released. Three tugs were dispatched from Volgodonsk to help refloat the Sig. No further details reported.
