On December 18, a tender vessel transporting 30 passengers ran aground in the Southern Ocean just offshore of Kangaroo Island, South Australia. The tender was transporting 30 passengers from the cruise ship Crown Princess to the island when it experienced engine problems. The tender went adrift and ran aground a short distance off Penneshaw beach. No reports of damage or pollution released.

All the passengers on board would disembark and wade through the shallow waters to shore.  No reports of injuries. Reports state a local company was able pull the tender free and tow it back to the cruise ship.

The 25 meter long tender vessel Natalia Bekker allided with a platform in the wind farm off the German Bight.   The tender had suffered damage to its bow, but was able to proceed to Borkum.   No reports of injuries to the six crew on board.   The Natalia Bekker proceeded to Emden where it was inspected.  Reports state the vessel continued to a shipyard on the Weser.

A tender for the 294 meter long cruise ship Norwegian Dawn went aground near Bar Island Ledge, Maine.   The vessel grounded during low tide suffering hull damage.   No reports of injuries to the 93 passengers and 2 crew.   The Coast Guard responded along with several local boats in the area.   The boats safely evacuated the passengers back to the Norwegian Dawn.   The tender was later refloated and taken to dry dock for repairs.
