A barge loaded with 80,000 barrels of diesel fuel went aground off Fort Point near Portsmouth, New Hampshire.  The barge was being pushed by the 65 meter long tugboat Mediterranean Sea when the barge drifted onto a shoal.  No reports of injuries.  The double-hulled barge was undamaged and was later refloated.  No pollution was released.  The Coast Guard reports that alcohol and drugs were not a factor.

The 25 meter long tugboat K.C. Campbell caught fire while berthed at Port Adelaide, Australia.  Local fire crews were called out and were able to extinguish the blaze.  The fire did extensive damage to the K.C. Campbell with estimates around $90,000 (AUS).  No reports of injuries.  The K.C. Campbell was slated to be dismantled and sold for scrap.  Authorities have reported the fire may have been arson.

The 186 meter, 30688 dwt bulk freighter Heloise collided with the 20 meter long tug Ocean Georgie Bain on the St. Lawrence River at Montreal, Canada.  No reports of injuries or pollution released.   Authorities have launched an investigation into the incident.  No further details reported.
