A tug and lifeboat was dispatched and the Tala was taken under tow to Büyükdere. No reports of injuries to the 19 crew, damage or pollution released.
The 173 meter long freighter Marquise became disabled off Yeniköy, Turkey. The freighter was en route to Piräus from Yuzhny with 25,667 tons of wheat when it lost power and went adrift. The Turkish Coast Guard dispatched a lifeboat and two tugs to the scene. The Marquise was taken under town and safely moored at Beykoz Bay. No reports of injuries to the 23 crew on board. No damage or pollution released.
