CMA CGM Attila

The 335 meter long, 101473 dwt container ship CMA CGM Attila allided with the dock in Vancouver, British Columbia.  The CMA CGM Attila arrived from Seattle and was docking at the container terminal when it struck the pier.  The vessel suffered hull damage with a meter long hole to one of its ballast tanks amidships.  No reports of injuries or pollution released.  A pilot was on board and two tugs were assisting the CMA CGM Attila during the incident. The CMA CGM Attila was requested to be remain at port while an investigation into the incident is conducted.

EVER_ETHIC

The 298 meter long, 75898 dwt  container ship allided with a pier at Vancouver, British Columbia.   The Ever Ethic was being assisted from port with two tugs when the container ship struck the pier.   The vessel’s hull was damaged with several small hull punctures.   No reports of injuries or pollution released.   The crew was able to make repairs the vessel departed a few days later bound for Tokyo, Japan.

Ferry Allision at Vancouver

The 34 meter long  ferry Burrard Beaver struck the dock at Waterfront Station at Vancouver, British Columbia.   The ferry with 215 passengers was a half-boat length away when it lost power and steering .  The Beaver veered starboard and slammed into the dock.   A nearby tug came to the assistance of the ferry and was able to get it back to the berth.   There were no injuries and all passengers were disembarked safely.
