Tug Fairplay 22 capsized

The 317 dwt tug Fairplay 22 capsized off Hoek van Holland, Netherlands in the North Sea. The tug was out to assist the arriving vessel Stena Britannica to the Berg Harbor. Reports state that 3 of the 5 crew onboard were rescued. No reason for why the tug capsized, but bad seas was a factor.

The 39042 dwt motor vessel Thor Wind suffered engine problems and became disabled near Canakkale, Turkey in the Dardanelles. The vessel was bound for Karachi, Pakistan.

Vessels aground off Bali

Vessels aground off Bali

Two vessels are around on the reefs off the island of Bali Sanur in Indonesia. The 11578 dwt barge Miclyn 3317 ran aground near the 1242 dwt supply vessel Permina Supply 28. The barge had been sent to assist in freeing the supply vessel. No reports of pollution or injuries.
