M/L Siraina
The wooden-hulled passenger ferry M/L Siraina sank near Barangay Bakong, Simunul, Philippines. The ferry was headed to Bongao with 27 people on board when it was overwhelmed by large waves and strong winds. Fiveteen people were later rescued. Seven bodies were also recovered. The Philippine Coast Guard and Navy conducting a search and rescue for the remaining five people.
