Rich Passage 1

Rich Passage 1

January 28, 2013 Paul Hancock

Rich Leader 1

The 24 meter long high-speed catamaran ferry Rich Passage 1 went aground near Port Townsend Bay  near Port Hadlock, Washington.  The captain of the vessel made a navigation mistake and steered the vessel into the shallows.  Before the vessel could be pulled free, the tide dropped leaving the Rich Passage 1 high and dry.   No reports of injuries, damage or pollution released.  The ferry will be refloated on the next high tide.  The ferry was headed to Port Townsend to be hauled out for the winter
