The 15 meter long fishing vessel Lady Anna capsized at the mouth of the Grey River, New Zealand.  The fishing vessel was struggling in heavy seas and strong winds when it capsized.  Two crewmen were rescued and taken to hospital for treatment.  A third crewmen perished and his body was later recovered.   The Lady Anna was pushed up the Grey River where is grounded and is partially surbmerged. Authorities have launched an investigation into the incident.

The 105 meter long, 6436 dwt freighter Tian Yun sank near Busan, South Korea.   Reports state Korean authorities were notified of the vessel sinking who then dispatched search helicopters and patrol boats to the scene.   Seventeen crewmen were rescued.  No further details reported.

The 102 meter long, 3168 dwt freighter Ivan Shchepetov went aground in the Kattegat off the coast of Denmark.   No reports of injuries or pollution released.  Reports state the Ivan Shchepetov was hard aground and that divers were requested to make a survey.   Authorities later stated that a survey was completed and a salvage plan was submitted.
