The 58 meter long self-propelled bargeOrenburg pushing the barge UDP C-447 allided with a bridge on the Enns near Mauthausen, Austria. The vessels had steered to close to the Mauthausen side of the river and struck a pilling. The barge suffered damage to its bow. No reports of injuries or pollution released. Authorities allowed the vessel to proceeded to a nearby estuary.
On April 28, the 229 meter long bulk freighter Yasa H. Mulla allided with a pier at Port Said, Egypt. The freighter was entering the Suez when it’s starboard bow struck causing hull damage. No reports of injuries or pollution released. The Yasa H. Mulla proceeded to a nearby shipyard for repairs.
